AX522 2 line switch VoIP

Just to let you all know, our full production order of AX522 VoIP 2 Line Intelligent Switches will be with us in the next two days.  This should keep our stocks very healthy.

We are also thinking of adding some more Artech product and would like to know what other products you may be interested in.  Cooltronics are the main distributor for Artech products in the UK and Europe.

AX522 2 line switch VoIP

We have finally received confirmation regarding the delivery of our small pre-production order of the AX522 2 Line Switches.  These will be arriving tomorrow Saturday 14th March 2009.  Once these have been checked and booked to stock, we will ensure that all outstanding orders are shipped Monday 16th March 2009 or Tuesday 17th March 2009 latest.

We are sincerely grateful for your support during this episode.  The good news is that we have now secured the future production of this unit and will be able to continue the supplied of the AX522 while the market still requires a device like this.

After discussing our awaiting shipment of AX522 units with Parcel Force today and putting them under a degree of pressure, we actually find out, contrary to discussion yesterday, that it is actually Customs who are holding up the processing.  We found out from Parcel Force that the Customs service at the International Hub, Coventry have a massive backlog of parcels awaiting processing.  This is the result of a crackdown on counterfeit goods entering into the UK from the Far East. As our legitimate products are coming from Taiwan, they are also bonded and awaiting Customs inspection together with all the potential counterfeit goods entering into the UK.  Unfortunately there is no pressure you can put on Customs, all you get is the typical official authoritative response and no further negotiation.  This is getting very embarrassing for our company and I think we will soon have to post the EMS tracking number, just to assure our customers that we are not pulling a fast one and so they can also track the shipment through the Parcel Force Tracking Service:-)

Just to keep you all up to date.  It is truly amazing that our small shipment of AX522 only takes 2 days to arrive in the UK from Taipei.  What is equally amazing is that since the 6th March 2009 our shipment has been stuck in Parcel Force’s Coventry Hub pending Customs inspection and clearance.  Welcome to the UK and the unbelievable service of Royal Mail in managing to take over 5 days to clear a box of electrical products.  Should have used DHL, a lesson learnt.  It really does seem that everything appears to be working against us at the moment where the AX522 is involved. What is even more amazing is that they then send you a letter, probably Second Class telling you that you now have to pay the duty.  Luckily we know this trick and will make sure all duties are cleared before it leaves the hub.

Anyway we keep checking the Parcel Force Track & Trace service and complaining to Customer Services on a daily basis.  We will let you know as soon as they clear customs.

Our small order has landed in the UK and will hopefully be delivered to our company on Monday 9th March 2009.  We will then work very hard to ship all outstanding orders as a matter of urgency.  There are only a very small number of units left un-allocated against customer orders, so if you would like an AX522 unit and do not want to wait until our stock order arrives, please get your order in quick as they will be supplied on a first come first serve basis.

Good news, we have reached an agreement with Artech to secure continued production of the AX522 for our company.  They have agreed to release the few units they have in stock, 20 in total and these will be shipped early next week.  We should therefore receive delivery by the end of the week and will ship all outstanding orders.  The remaining units will be sold on a first come first serve basis until they are exhausted.

Our large stock order is in production and will be ready for shipment around the 25th March 2009.   We are expecting therefore at this time to take delivery of the shipment at the end of March 2009.

We would again like to thank all our customers who have orders with us for their support during this time.  We would also like to thank our partner MyComSolutions and Artech for all their support in getting the AX522 unit back into the market.

Firstly we would like to take this opertunity to thank all our customers for sticking with us during this time.  Well we finally tested a product from a company called Maxlink, who are a well respected telecommunication manufacturer in the Far East.  The product sounded very promising looking at the specification, however when we received the samples and put them on test, we experianced a number of problems.  The final blow was when we tried to make a call to the VoIP line through the switch, well that was the end the our router and VoIP service.  It maybe unfair to suggest that the switch was to blame, however at this time we are airing on the side of caution until we receive further information from the manufacturer.

However on a very positive note, we have had further discussions with Artech and we have almost reached an agreement to to secure further production of the AX522 units.  There are still a few loose ends to tie up, but we now feel much more confident in being able to continue to offer this excellent niche product to the market.

GOOD NEWS - Cooltronics is pleased to announce that in discussions with Artech we have secured the continued manufacture of the AX522.  Although we initially stated that this product was to be withdrawn, this is not the case and through many discussions, we can copnfirm a long term commitement for the supply of this product direct from the manufacturer.  We have also now taken delivery of our large stock order straight from the factory.  Cooltronics have been selling first the AX520 and the AX522 many years and actively sale into the US and Europe.  Over the years the AX522 has become the product of choice for those looking to intelligently switch between two lines using a single phone.
